It was Saturday morning 9th of November when I opened the Engino newsletter with some amazing news.
The announcement said: “Engino classroom solutions will equip all 7 United Arab Emirates and their Public Schools with resources on the subject of Design & Technology. An intensive internal review was conducted by the Ministry of Education of United Arab Emirates that led to the election of ENGINO STEM & ROBOTICS MINI and PRO to support over 38,000 thousand students to attend nearly 1,500 classes on the subject!”
These young learners with ages ranging between 9-11 years are in for a ride!
Engino announcement mentions the students and teachers: “They will meet and overcome the challenges of a technology-driven world that will change their lives! Teachers & students are confident with ready-made lesson plans, drag-and-drop robotics software and a teacher’s guide, to unlock their full STEM skills potential and break any habitual thinking boundaries.”
Yes, a Cypriot ed-tech company is helping kids all over the world to learn technology and advance their STEM Skills. Recently another edtech company LearnWorlds raised significant funding from Marathon Venture Capital to scale up their services globally. More ed-tech companies coming from the CEE Region and Russia want to have operations or headquarters in Cyprus.
The ed-tech industry has a bright future in Cyprus and if all stakeholders support it properly it can flourish. Well done Engino and Costas Sisamos for this great milestone and for making Cyprus proud once again. We know that it takes a lot of effort and sacrifices to achieve these amazing results.
Keep growing because Cyprus needs its first Unicorn!
